The Business of Software Conference: for people growing great software businesses.

Business of Software is a two and a half day conference for independent software vendors to gather, discuss and learn from each other and some of the most highly regarded thinkers in the industry.

Over the years we have built a loyal tribe of followers who come back to BoS year after year. They love it and we think you will too. This is a single track  conference where every talk is, in the words of Joel Spolsky, ‘Keynote Quality’ but the best thing about Business of Software though is the attendees. The speakers stick around and there is plenty of ‘whitespace’ at the event to ensure that you have the opportunity to meet and talk with peers about the challenges you face together, share ideas and learn from each other.

2013 will be the 7th edition of Business of Software. Over the years we have welcomed over 1500 delegates from more than 900 companies, watching more than 100 speakers. 95.9% of this year’s delegates would recommend the conference to a friend, and 94.7% are considering coming again.

See what last year’s delegates had to say here. And see why this is the leading conference for anyone who is serious about building a great software business - here are the talks from last year and the earlier editions.

More info: Business of Software Conference

Business of Software is being run in 2013 by Neil Davidson, founder of Red Gate Software and Mark Littlewood of the Business Leaders Network. Neil and Mark have known each other for over 20 years which scares them both as they met at university. Mark's organization, the Business Leaders Network, runs the UK's leading technology networking events. He went to Business of Software 2010 and blogged incessantly about the event. With Neil's commitments to Red Gate Software, to drawing and to keeping his life even slightly balanced, he wanted to share the Business of Software load with someone who could help build Business of Software.

We want to run Business of Software as a conference and a conversation that inspires and teaches people about the business of software. (Clever name huh?).

Mark Littlewood is the founder of Business Leaders Network. He's enthusiastic about technology but his cat can, and frequently does, write better code. He relishes bringing passionate people together to share ideas and learn from each other. You can follow Mark on Twitter at @marklittlewood.

Neil Davidson is co-founder and joint CEO of Red Gate Software. He considers himself a thought-follower in the business of software, hence the conference. You can follow Neil on Twitter at @NeilDavidson
